I guess I’m a little surprised at all the conspiracy theories that dog Yale’s elite society– Skull & Bones. All the seemingly incredulous stories are just a little too far-fetched and over-the-top to believe, even for me– who loves this kind of stuff. It’s not to say that it couldn’t happen– I guess I tend to be too optimistic in regard to human nature and our country to want to believe it.
The skull & bones icon itself has definitely enjoyed a nice run in the fashion world too as of late– with Rugby Ralph Lauren and Barker Black using it as an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek branding tool. But let’s get back to the tales of the infamous secret society– where the controversial theories are so deep, it requires an almost suspension of reality to buy in–
Every year, 15 of Yale’s finest seniors are tapped to join the mysterious order– from several generations of the Bush clan (George H. Bush, left of clock) all the way to Paul Giamatti, of all people. Many members of Skull & Bones have gone on to hold positions of great political power with an alleged intent to create a shadow government (NWO) and advance the order’s long-standing allegiances & agendas– leading to extreme political wrangling. No doubt, some very influential people have belonged– but are the claims of their abuse of influence & power throughout American history really plausible? Were they really Nazi sympathizers or behind the assassination of JFK for his speech that spoke out against them?
Prescott Bush (CT Senator) was very influential in his day, and still one of the most talked about Bonesmen. It was his infamous class of '17 that stole Geronimo's bones-- not a cool move anyway you look at it.
Prescott Bush was instrumental in grooming Richard Nixon to succeed Eisenhower. Kennedy proved to be too charismatic and popular with the people, winning the hotly contested 1960 Presidential election-- a particularly painful defeat for the Republicans. Kennedy later passionately called for the dissolution of secret societies & parties in a very public speech-- let the assassination conspiracy theories begin...

Just a note, but the 1960 election was one of the closest in history and, at that time, the closest in decades for both electoral and popular vote. Kennedy didn’t easily win anything.
Wow — no reference at all of J. Press? That seems strange as they have had the skull and bones on their clothes longer than Barker Black and Rugby combined. Not to mention that Press was founded at Yale and still maintains a store on York Street. It is the original.

During my senior year at Yale, I was not tapped to enter Skull & Bones. Nor was my older brother, cousins, uncle, father, grandfather nor my great grandfather. I had heard of it, didn’t know or think much about it at the time. I assumed it was a sort of fraternity, much like the one I joined, though more eccentric and with the perception of exclusivity. At worst, I assumed they practiced a bit of cronyism, but don’t all fraternal organizations do that? Last June, I injured my knee playing squash and spent most of the summer hobbling around my apartment here in NY, nursing my knee and reading all sorts of conspiracies, including those surrounding S&B. Dr Sutton was working for the Hoover Institute in the 1960s, during the height of the Cold War. He became disturbed with the fact that America was claiming to be at war with the USSR, yet, he was assigned to projects where information and weapons were shared with our so-called enemies. He researched and wrote extensively on various controversial subjects, trying to connect the dots between politics, corporations and the men who ran them. He destroyed a brilliant career pursuing these endeavors. In the early 1980’s a family member of an S&B man approached Dr Sutton with inside information, member lists and documents. He finally had the link connecting the dots he had been trying to make sense of for so many years.
Dr Sutton offers a much more practical view of S&B. That there is no “grand plan” of absolute take over, but rather men, with similar backgrounds, agendas and common goals. As I suspected, cronyism, but on a much greater scale. Are their goals good? That remains to be seen. Anyway, just curious about your take on all this and yes, my knee has healed nicely and I do have a full life and am no longer researching conspiracies.
If there is one thing I think we all learned from the last 8 years, it is that our government can do whatever it pleases and there isn’t much we can do about it. I’d rather be playing squash anyway…
and if it is real is obama part of it?
Of course Obama is part of it. Pretty much every world leader that is presently in power or ever has been in power is or was a puppet of the NWO. They are placed in their position. Obama is president because thats how the NWO wanted it. There was an American president who resisted them in the 60’s. Then he was assassinated in Dallas. And a scapegoat was set up to take the fall.
